Selected projects.

All projects are different. Different challenges, goals and processes. We’ve collected a few interesting project stories, for you to get a more concrete feel of what we do, why and how – and what our partners and clients think of working with us.

Vestas
Aberdeen Bay
The Aberdeen Bay offshore project consists of 9 x V164-8.4 MW turbines and 2 x V164-8.8 MW turbines located north of Aberdeen at the east coast of Scotland. During the second half of 2017 Welcon delivered all 11 towers for this project. The towers are installed on top of tree legged jackets with suction anchor foundations.

Blyth
The Blyth project consists of 5 x V164-8.0 MW turbines, erected off the coast of England, by Newcastle. During the first half of 2017, Welcon delivered all five turbine towers used in the project.

Walney Extension
This project consists of 40 x V164-8.0 MW turbines. The turbines are places in the Irish Sea, by the coast of Blackpool. Welcon delivered 12 complete towers during the second half of 2016 and first half of 2017.

Burbo Bank Extension (BBE)
This project consists of 32 x V164-8.0 MW turbines. Installed in 2017, the turbines are located in the Irish Sea by the coast of Liverpool. During the spring of 2016, Welcon helped make the project a reality, with a delivery of 11 mid sections and 11 top sections.

Amrumbank West
Amrumbank West is a German offshore wind farm in the North Sea owned by E.ON. It is located about 35 km northwest of the island of Heligoland and around 18 km south-west of the Amrum Bank sandbank. It consists of 80 turbines in waters 19–24 m deep. Welcon have delivered towers for all 80 turbines.

DanTysk
The Dantysk project consists of 80 T68.25-3.6MV turbines. The turbines are located in the North Sea and Welcon have delivered 61 towers in total to the project.
