47.000 m3 storage expansion

The towers for wind turbines are getting larger and larger, and at the same time Welcon A/S in Give, Denmark, has over the recent years increased the capacity for tower production significantly. To even better accommodate the intermediate storage of wind turbine towers before transport, Welcon has made a 47.000 m3 expansion of storage area for finished tower sections. This corresponds to a doubling of the capacity to store sections.

The total area of the Welcon facility is now 400.000 m2 with the latest expansion, of which 75.000 m2 are production buildings for the app. 600 people working at the factory.
